TEAM FUNDRASIER - Prize Drawing Ticket

The recent ban on trans women players by the Women’s Elite Rugby league is a gross violation of the principles of inclusion, respect, and equity that make rugby the game we love.

The way we talk about this (or don’t), is not a neutral choice. The trans players in women’s rugby deserve to see us fight for them, on and off the pitch. That is what team means. That is what rugby means. When you step on the pitch alongside your team, you are saying, “I’ll put it on the line for you,” and knowing they will do the same for you without a thought.

My trans teammates, this is for you. I am with you. We are with you. We want you on the pitch. I am hosting a prize drawing for a custom painting of you and your “team,” whatever that means to you. All proceeds will go to subsidizing the dues of trans players at the club level. Any additional funding that cannot be allocated to trans players will be made available as grants to teams with trans players. The winner will receive an 18x24 inch oil painting of themself with the people who make up their “team,” up to 5 total people.

There is only one entry per person. This donation and/or ticket entry will not result in any item being shipped to you, unless you are selected as the winner of the prize drawing, in which case the finished artwork will be shipped to you.

No purchase is necessary to enter this prize drawing. Making a donation does not augment your chances of selection.

Donations will be directed to the dues of trans rugby players, and, if any additional funding is available once the dues of all trans players are covered, donations will be contributed toward club rugby teams with trans players on their rosters.

The prize drawing will be open for donations through 8/15, and a winner will be selected live on 8/17.
